Alkees Company for Plastic Industries is an industrial company within the Sedal Group for Industry and Trade.
The company has been working in the field of designing and producing plastic bags of various types and sizes since 1996.
Financial profit has not been the only goal of Alkees company since its establishment.
Rather, its goals have always been to achieve the national interest in this sector, which it has already succeeded in achieving by transferring and localizing the latest technologies and the best expertise to the local market.
After more than 25 years of experience in the markets, the company has now become one of the largest domestic companies in the field of plastic industries.
It is one of the most important local companies leading in the field of plastic industries, with its capabilities and expertise, as it contributes to providing the demands of the local market of plastic products and the transfer and localization of technology and expertise locally. It is in cooperation and agreement with global giant companies in this field. The factory consists of several lines for manufacturing bags, lines for forming and printing on such bags, and lines for recycling plastic wastes. Due to the high demand for plastic industries and the availability of raw materials locally, we have largely expanded in this field and developed our factory to be with a total area of more than 10,000 square meters, with a production capacity of 4,500 tons per year. The number of employees in the company exceeds 200 workers, engineers, and technicians. The company’s management was keen to contribute to preserving the environment, as several lines were added to recycle plastic waste, with a production capacity of more than 50 tons per month.

The company contributes to representing our country internationally by participating in several international exhibitions, and the company enjoyed the quality of its products at home and abroad, which enabled it to enter strongly into the Tunisian market and compete with their products, as some companies were contracted in Tunisia to export about 200 tons per month. All this led to the great successes of the company in the local and regional markets, as well as to the continuous interaction of customers with the company for long times which prompted it to expand and continue its growth to maintain its leadership in this industry in its region.

Our History
The factory was opened in the city of Misurata, under the name of "Sons Al-Ghwail Factory for the manufacture of plastic bags" with a single production line with a production capacity of about 10 tons per month.
The factory management began with a plan to develop and increase the production capacity, increase the production lines and diversify the products in the factory.
The factory area was actually expanded to match the additional production lines that reached 10 production lines.
At the beginning of this year, the name of the "Sons of Ghwail Factory" was changed and renamed as "Al-Kees Company for Plastic Industries".
The company continued with confidence and success in the expansion and development plan until the production lines reached more than twenty production lines with a production capacity of more than 350 tons per month of plastic bag products of various sizes and varieties. The company’s management has been introducing printing on plastic bags. From two-color printing to begin with, until reached six-color printing on plastic products.
